Ingrid Stensland, the Golden Globe-winning actress, was born Ingrid Stensland on October 18, 1934, in Stockholm, Sweden. She was the daughter of Lisbet Stensland and Per Gustaf. Her father moved from Sweden to the United States when she was nine years old, leaving her mother to raise her and her sister alone. Following their mother’s death, the siblings were sent to her relatives in Sweden and then kept in the custody of their aunt who lived there. Their father subsequently remarried, and they moved to New York with him in 1944.

She played 101 characters during the course of 101 episodes of that series.
In addition to appearing on motion pictures, she has acted in numerous television series, including Studio One, The Joseph Cotten Show, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, The Detectives, and The Dick Powell Show. Aside from being recognized as an actress, Faith Privett Stevens was a member of the University of California, Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute advisory board, which she obtained through the then-governor of California, Edmund G. Brown. She served as Chair of the California Council for Retarded Children as well.
Tragically, Inger Stevens was declared dead on the 30th of April 1970, after three series – The Most Dangerous Game, The Mask of Sheba, and Run, Simon, Run in the year 1970.

She tried to hurry her to the hospital so that she could get medical care, but Inger Stevens died en route to the hospital and did not survive long enough to get help.
