The fans remained unshakable in their adoration of the show, encouraging it with a hashtag before season one had even ended. And now that it appears as if all of that hard work was worthwhile, Amazon has renewed the program for a second and third season in April 2021. Before the news, creator Robert Kirkman had already signaled that a new season was probable. Invincible season 2 release date, cast, plot updates.

Invincible season 2 potential release date

Unfortunately, there has been no word on when the second season will premiere. Invincible won’t be victims of the same kind of production delays that plagued most of the TV industry in 2020 and 2021 since it is animated.

Then again, because these things take time to create an animation, it’s not certain if they’re working on seasons two and three at the same time in order to minimize release period between them.

Robert Kirkman live-tweeted through the first episode of Season 2 in January to provide fans a look behind the scenes, and then updated them on his progress with the second season.

“I need to get back to work on season 2 (and 3)! I actually have a script due soon! Wish me luck!” he wrote. “And thanks for reading along! I love you all!”

With this in mind, we likely won’t get any news until at least 2023, at a guess.

• Grey Griffin as Shrinking Rae

• Khary Payton as Black Samson

• Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman

• Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien

• Mahershala Ali as Titan

• Kevin Michael Richardson as The Mauler Twins

• Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell

• Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett

Invincible season 2 plot summary

Mark’s life has been irrevocably altered, thanks to everything that occurred in the grisly conclusion. His father, Omni-Man, has destroyed their family (as well as half of Chicago). Although he’s gone for now, Nolan will return with the full power of the Viltrumite race, intent on seizing Earth as part of their alien empire.

In the conclusion, Cecil asks Mark to take his father’s role as champion of Earth, and though he is initially hesitant, that will soon change. Meanwhile, he has also resolved to finish high school, but doing so may be difficult with all of the dangers that are soon going to confront him.
