He was born in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, but his family relocated to Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea when he was a year old. His parents are Kim Seok Joong (older brother 2 years older) and Park Min Jin (Mom). He’s from a wealthy family. His father is the president of a firm. During his childhood, he took a liking to sports such as tennis, swimming, and golf (which he picked up from his father). He also learned snowboarding because his dad was a skier. When his father went on business trips, he would bring Jin along so that he could see different countries around the world.
When he was in the first year of middle school, he started playing video games. He used to spend all of his summer vacation playing online at an Internet cafe with his pals when he was younger. Both his middle and high schools were all-boys institutions.

Hyun-seok’s favorite food is lobster, meat, cold noodles (noodles), chicken, and fatty meals. He has an allergy to potatoes and garlic (Run BTS Ep. 125). Jin and RM used to be the group’s least skilled dancers, but they vastly improved. He has strong prescription glasses on, but he doesn’t like wearing them because he becomes insecure. Jin rises 2 hours before the others. JJanggu was Jin’s dog. He holds a driver’s license. Jin plays the guitar and piano well. Alpacas are one of his favorite animals. Snowboarding is one of Jin’s specialties. Jin has a bad habit of winking at people if he makes eye contact with them for more than three seconds. Jin wants to have a servant so he can boss him around. Jin cannot endure watching horror films. When Jimin has to go with a member during the spring, he chooses Jin since he’s fun to be around. Jungkook and Jin have a lot of squabbles. Because of their constant bickering, a taxi driver once believed that Jungkook and Jin were twins. Jin said he doesn’t like strawberries, but he does like strawberry-flavored things. Looking at insects isn’t frightening to Jin, however if they land on his body, it’s terrifying.
When Jin makes a dad joke, no one else laughs except Suga. While he was on the diet, Jin ate only chicken breasts for a year. Jin used to work at a strawberry farm before. Jin acquired two sugar gliders named Odeng and Eomuk after looking for Suga on the Internet, but sugar gliders appeared instead.
