Kenny Chesney Cancer Update

The American musician and songwriter does not have cancer or other chronic fatal illnesses. He is in good shape and health. Instead, he has a tale connected with his cancer-battling fan.

During one of his live performances in 2016 as part of the Spread the Love Tour, Chesney noticed Kelly Swanson, a cancer patient, in the crowd. Because she was carrying a sign that said “Beating Cancer,” Chesney recognized her. Seeing her, Chesney took her hand and began singing Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds,” which includes the line “Every little thing will be OK.”

Then, over her shaved head, she was wearing a baseball cap. After removing his cowboy hat and her cap, Chesney leaned in to touch their heads together. As they embraced, Chasney kissed her and stroked her hair. After that, Chasney kept singing for her. Many people were moved by his care. Another connection between Chesney and cancer is that he lost his long-term friend Lisa Lee to a brain tumor in 2021.

“I was devastated to learn of the loss of someone after our show,” he stated in his statement. “There had been so much joy, so much heart coming from the people of Denver last night — and to hear this is heartbreaking,” he added.

“Life is precious. Sharing music brings us together, and that love we share makes us so much more. There are no words for the lady who came to share that love. For her friends and family’s loss, I grieve with them, and for them,” Chasney sent his condolences to the deceased’s family.

According to the news source, cops are investigating the death as a mistake and do not think that she was pushed. The identity of the woman has not been revealed.

Kenny Chesney Is Not Gay

In May 2005, while still married to Renée Zellweger, he secretly married country music singer Brandy. However, the pair divorced after just four months of marriage. Their breakup was linked to a slew of gay rumors about Kenny Chesney; Zellweger blamed fraud for their split in the same media.

In any case, she later clarified by stating that the term fraud was only “legal jargon and not a reflection of Kenny’s character.” Behind schedule, Kenny explained that he freaked out when things started going wrong between them, which triggered their divorce.

In 2010, Chesney spoke about his divorce during an interview with Oprah on her show. He told the host that whatever he accomplished in life or encountered in life, he kept them inside his mind-built box, a place where he felt at ease. He wanted to defend everything he put in the box, but after realizing his relationship with Zellweger was outside the box, he broke up with her. “She’s a nice person; there’s no doubt about it,” said Chesney on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Fans were divided in their opinions after the divorce of Chesney and his wife. He was regarded to be gay, according to some sources. Kenny himself said he was straight in 2007 when asked about it during an interview on 60 Minutes. He explained that he didn’t want to make the issue any worse by revealing his sexual orientation sooner. Furthermore, in 2009, he mentioned several girlfriends who can vouch for his heterosexuality to Playboy magazine.
