Netflix’s newest comedy Murderville, which is a typical whodunit drama with a twist, will be released in February. Based on the BBC3 series Murder in Successville, Murderville will star Will Arnett (The Millers) and feature Krister Johnson (Wet Hot American Summer) as showrunner.

Sony’s Electric Ave. acquired the rights to the BBC3 series before creating his adaptation, which Netflix bought. He has previously collaborated with the streamer on BoJack Horseman, Flaked, and the revival of Arrested Development. Arnett will star as senior homicide detective Terry Seattle in the new series and serve as an executive producer alongside Marc Forman, Jonathan Stern, Peter Principato, and Brian Steinberg.

The new comedy will premiere on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT and 3:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, February 3rd. If this isn’t convenient for you, add it to your watchlist so you don’t miss out.

Murderville cast

Along with Arnett, the following actors appear in the film: Conan O’Brien, Annie Murphy, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch, Sharon Stone, and more. Haneefah Wood plays Chief Rhonda Jenkins-Seattle, Lilan Bowden is a medical examiner named Amber Kang, and Phillip Smithey is a police officer called Daz Phillips.

Murderville synopsis

Celebrities will star in Arnett’s Murderville, where they’ll try to solve murder cases. The celebrity must create their role without a script for the episode, which adds an interesting dynamic to the show. Arnett and the other regular characters are scripted, resulting in a hilarious program that you won’t see coming.
