NSFW Bowling Animations Meme Explained: The Disturbing Trend That’s Being Shared All Over Social Media

The NSFW bowling animations meme is a disturbing trend that’s been circulating on social media. The meme features graphic and often violent images of people being hit by bowling balls, with blood and guts splattered everywhere.

How NSFW Bowling Animations Meme Spread?

The NSFW bowling animations meme seems to have originated on 4chan’s /b/ board, where users have been sharing the animated GIFs.

On November 25th, 2021, and April 1st, 2022, animator wyerframze tweeted two NSFW bowling animations in which a bowling ball employed the power of its ejaculation to knock down pins (frames from the first animation shown below, top). The videos received over 3,100 retweets and 17,500 likes.

While it’s not clear where the meme originated, it seems to have gained traction on 4chan’s /b/ board, where users have been sharing the animated GIFs.

From that day forward, the GIF, which was subsequently re-posted by numerous individuals, became notorious on Twitter and attracted conversations, memes, and allusions.

On April 2nd, Twitter user @afroblv posted a tweet about the GIF which received over 1,500 retweets and 21,300 likes in three days (shown below left). On April 3rd, Twitter user @cornskill made a tweet that garnered almost 3,000 retweets and 93 thousand likes in two days (shown below right).

The memes are obviously extremely graphic and disturbing, and they’re likely to cause distress or even trigger anxiety attacks in some people. If you see one of these memes, it’s best to just scroll past it. There’s no need to share the horror.
