Davidson won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for feature photography, as well as a National Emmy, for her photographs depicting innocent people caught up in deadly gang conflicts in Los Angeles.
Her images were also selected to represent the Los Angeles Times in the 2016 Spot News Pulitzer competition for coverage of the San Bernardino mass shooting. Her photographs were included in the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography, which her group won for coverage of Hurricane Katrina.
She was named Newspaper Photographer of the Year by the Pictures of the Year International contest in 2006 and 2014, respectively.
